This two-part program begins with an on-site visit by PAMM teaching artists, who lead the children in conversations about art with illustrations of works on view in the museum’s galleries, followed by hands-on art-making inspired by the works discussed. Following each visit, PAMM arranges for all participants to visit the museum free of charge with teaching artist-led tours through the galleries.
Each child that participates additionally receives art-making materials to continue creating throughout the summer and into the school year, as well as a complimentary guest pass to return to the museum with their family.
The theme for Summer 2025 is Art to the Rescue. Inspired by Mark Dion: The South Florida Wildlife Rescue Unit, participants will explore their relationship to our local environment through hands-on artmaking and object-driven discussions.
