PAMM in the Neighborhood

This two-part program begins with an on-site visit by PAMM teaching artists, who lead the children in conversations about art with illustrations of works on view in the museum’s galleries, followed by hands-on art-making inspired by the works discussed. Following each visit, PAMM arranges for all participants to visit the museum free of charge with teaching artist-led tours through the galleries.

Each child that participates additionally receives art-making materials to continue creating throughout the summer and into the school year, as well as a complimentary guest pass to return to the museum with their family.

The theme for Summer 2025 is Art to the Rescue. Inspired by Mark Dion: The South Florida Wildlife Rescue Unit, participants will explore their relationship to our local environment through hands-on artmaking and object-driven discussions.

PAMM in the Neighborhood is made possible by a generous grant from the Miami Foundation, and the Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation. PAMM’s outreach programs have been made possible by endowed funds granted by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children to underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs. Together with leadership support from Miami-Dade County, these funders enable the museum to transform the lives of young people in our community through our art education programs.
